Most Irish homes are ideal candidates for solar PV. Your property is likely suitable if it has:
- A pitched or flat roof with sunlight exposure
- Minimal shading (trees, chimneys, etc.)
- Available roof space (typically 15–25m2 for 2–6kW)
- Daytime energy usage (home during daylight = more benefit)

SEAI Grants for Solar PV
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offers solar grants for homeowners:
- €900 per kWp (up to 2kWp = €1,800)
- €300 for additional kWp (up to 4kWp total = €2,100 max)
Battery grants no longer apply, but adding one still boosts system efficiency.
